The impact that the Polygamy assignment had on me and my understanding of the world was huge. I had to show my views on Polygamy and homosexuality. This assignment let me express what I believe in. It challenged my understanding of the world because it made me realize how many people in this world disagree with my ways of thinking. I think it is very important to stand up for what you believe in and to not back down. The challenges I faced in completing this assignment were to share my own experiences with polygamy. I have many friends that grew up in a polygamist community and it was hard sharing what they have gone through. I picked this assignment to put in my ePortfolio because it shows that I will stand up for what I believe in and I think that this paper shows a lot about the type of person I am.

The impact that this assignment had on me was a big one. The people I interviewed were very close to me and it was amazing to hear the different way of thinking about romance for different ages and types of people. The process I went through to complete this assignment was first I interviewed a few people around the same age. I realized that when I did this that most of their answers were kind of the same. Then I decided it might be better if I interviewed people of completely different ages. So, I interviewed a 16 year old girl, a 23 year old man and a 76 year old man. This gave me quite a difference in answers. I think that going this route was a better idea and I believe that it turned out pretty good. This assignment was a challenging one for me because one of the people I interviewed was my Grandpa, and the interview became very emotional for the both of us. I thought that his answer was a pretty amazing one and I was touched that he shared this with me. I picked this assignment because it was such an emotional one for me, and it was my favorite. I feel like I shared some important parts of me and my family. This paper showed me how things change as we grow into adults and how our feelings mature.
